Like my last post, I’m switching up formats for these 2019 plus size Thanksgiving outfits!  If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know that i publish multiple outfit suggestions for Thanksgiving Day each year.  And I also always include several options for those of you in warm(er) climates, called the “Southern Editions.”

But this year I am combining the two ideas and showing variations of the same look: Warmest, Warmer, Warm, and the Southern Edition.  So essentially these are the same outfit ideas with minor details changed to accommodate whatever the weather and temperature might be in your region!  Take a look…

One Look – Four Ways

While I show the same essential idea four ways, there are actually more combinations that I didn’t show.  For example, denim skirt + riding boots.  Point being, like my last Thanksgiving outfit idea, this is a pretty easy “formula” to follow.

Start with a ruffle placket blouse, with a sleeve or sleeveless depending on the weather.  If you don’t like the ruffle, here is a similar split neck blouse.  And, of course, if you have something white or cream in your closet, that will work too!

Blazers

Top with a classic blazer, I chose this double-breasted navy blazer with bold gold buttons.  I LOVE it!  But, any blazer will do!  If you prefer, a single-breasted is also fine.

The fabric of the blazer is critical for both fit and temperature-comfort.  The blazer I featured is a wool-blend, which is great for colder weather, but it doesn’t stretch to accommodate as many shapes.  Another great option is this one with a lot of stretch, which will be a little cooler.  This one is also a great choice for flattering stretch, single button closure, and lighter weight fabric.

Then choose a denim skirt or jeans for the bottom.  Pick a knee boot or ankle bootie for footwear.  Then add accessories, like a LV Metis Pochette or similar crossbody.  And a classic watch, pearl stud earrings, and a bold red lip.

Riding Boots

I adore these wide calf riding boots!  I mean look at that gorgeous gold hardware!  But, they will only fit up to 15.5″ calf.  If you’re unsure about your calf size or how to measure, go to this post.  My calves are larger than most “standard” wide calf boots.  There are wider options below.
