Each summer Nordstrom has an amazing sale! Why so amazing?
Well, Nordstrom marks down brand-spanking-new fall items, including brands that rarely go on sale. After the sale, prices go back up.
So this sale is a great opportunity to score some fresh items for the upcoming fall season at great prices!
Take a look at this year’s plus size sale items.
And as always, remember that Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns all day, every day!
Key Dates
Early Access is a special perk reserved for Nordstrom cardmembers.
Your Nordy Club level is based on yearly spend amounts, though all cardmembers automatically start at Influencer status.
You can only shop Anniversary Sale Early Access as a cardmember.
- July 9: Early Access for cardmembers with Icon status.
- July 10: Early Access for cardmembers with Ambassador status.
- July 11: Early Access for cardmembers with Influencer status.
- July 15: Anniversary Sale opens to the general public.
Get a Nordstrom Card to Shop Early
Of course, if you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you can apply for one online right now.
And you don’t have to wait for the card to arrive in the mail to start saving. You can start shopping the sale as early as July 11th!
Plus, you get $40 to use at Nordy’s at a later date if you use your card the day you are approved! Woot!

Outfit 1 Details
A super cute casual plus size outfit featuring mostly sale items. Yay!
I love this black plus size turtleneck sweater with bishop sleeves.
It’s cropped, so it will look great with wide leg jeans.
For tips on wearing wide legs, go here.
These wide legs are cropped, but these are similar in full length in case you’re interested.
Add some on trend platform adidas sneakers. If platforms aren’t for you, check out the flat version.
I would wear these with no show socks, but if you want to get Gen Z’s approval, opt for some ankle socks or crew socks.
Accessories
As for accessories, I love these designer sunglasses. Check these out for a similar but less expensive look.
Add this tan canvas tote, which is also on sale.
As for jewelry, some classic 2″ gold hoop earrings are never a bad choice.
Complete the look with a bold curb chain bracelet (I want!), a shiny chain bracelet.
As for the rings, I threw in my favorite gold ring, which isn’t on sale at the moment.
But, this crossover ring is made by the same designer and currently marked down.

Outfit 2 Details
This second plus size outfit idea is pretty versatile. Wear it to work or a casual outing.
Start with the same cropped turtleneck sweater but this time pair it with some wide leg pants.
I love the gold accents, starting with the gold detail on these black wedge booties.
Add a black shoulder bag with gold hardware and a gold chain strap.
I included the same jewelry, but went with these gold earrings.
Lipstick
I decided to go with a sultry matte lip in Nars’ “Cruella,” this set is part of the sale.
But, you can also buy it individually.
This scarlet red lipstick takes me back to the 90s, which makes it on-trend.
Perfume
I included this Tom Ford fragrance, Black Orchid Eau de Parfum, which has been on my wish list for quite some time.
During the sale, it is available as a discounted set.
But, you could also try Dossier’s “Spicy Orchid,” which is inspired by Tom Ford’s Black Orchid.
So far, every Dossier scent I have tried has been a winner, so probably worth trying.
