2024 Plus Size Thanksgiving Outfits

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know that I usually publish multiple outfit suggestions for Thanksgiving Day each year.

For Your Climate

Historically, I’ve included several options for those of you in warm(er) climates, called the “Southern Editions.”

But starting in 2018, I created variations of the same look: Warmest, Warmer, Warm, and the Southern Edition.

And based on responses to my Instagram stories, you want to see them again!

So essentially these are the same outfit ideas with minor details changed to accommodate whatever the weather and temperature might be in your region!

Take a look…

I also think these outfits would be great for Christmas Day as well.

Warmest Outfit Details

This first outfit idea is meant for the coldest climate.  It will keep you the warmest.

A plus size black velvet blazer is layered over a black lace top.

A little dressy, a little sexy, why not?

Strapless Bra Recommendations

I personally think a black bra will work fine with this top, especially if you don’t plan to remove the jacket.

But, everyone has preferences.  If you want to wear a strapless bra, here are my recommendations…

I always recommend two bras, one is strapless and the other is a multi-way bra with removable straps.

First, the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra (also, here or here) which has excellent reviews and fits up to a size 44G.

Second, the Multi-Way Boost Strapless Bra which fits up to a size 50DDD.

But, if you plan to leave the blazer on or have a bra with pretty straps, a standard bra could also work.

leopard print pants with fuchsia bow flats and a black clutch.

Leopard Pants

These layers go well with the star of the show: these leopard pants!  So hot!

As we have discussed, leopard is trending and these pants are perfect.

If you’re on a budget, check out these leopard jeans.

You can see other ways I styled them here.

More Outfit Details

Now let’s be honest, we could stop here and just throw on some black flats and grab a black bag.  Done.

But, why would we want to be a “plain Jane” when we could be a bad b!tch?  Amirite?

So throw on these head-turning satin bow slingback flats.

You might remember them from this post.

F’ yeah, pops of color!

But why stop there?  Top the look with some statement earrings in fuchsia crystal.

Oh hell, and might as well go with a plum lip too!

Accessories

Top the outfit with some designer sunglasses.  Or try these, which I have and look quite similar at a much better price.

Grab this chic clutch, which I have on my Christmas list (hint hint).  I am obsessed with the detachable gold curb chain strap.

Add my favorite gold ring.  I wear it on my index finger.  So fab!

Warmer Outfit Details

This second outfit idea is for those in slightly warmer, but still cold, climates.

I swapped the long sleeve lace top for a black satin and lace camisole.

Top with the same plus size black velvet blazer to keep you warm.

If you need a strapless bra recommendation, scroll back up to the first outfit details.

Beauty

Personally, I would do a smoky eye with some shimmer on the lid and inner corners.

This small eyeshadow palette from Natasha Denona is a great option if you don’t have a good eyeshadow pallet.

This “My Mini Dream Eyeshadow Palette” would also make a great stocking stuffer.

If you’re on a budget, try this palette.

Warm Outfit Details

This third outfit idea is for those in slightly warm climates.

I reverted back to the lace top from Look 1, but leaf the blazer for those in colder climates.

And I swapped the leopard pants  for a satin leopard midi slip skirt.

As with all of these looks, the accessories are the same.

“Southern Edition” Outfit Details

This is for y’all down South.  I wanted to keep the same vibe, but make it comfortable in warm weather.

So, I went with the same satin leopard midi slip skirt, but this time, I topped it with a short sleeve lace top.

As with all of these looks, the accessories are the same.
