Two plus size boho outfit ideas. One for summer with cut-off distressed denim shorts. The other for fall with flare jeans. Both straight fire!
I mean take a look at this plus size ruana with fringe detail. So hot! Throw it over a vintage tee and you’re ready for Bonnaroo or Coachella.
But in this case, I opted for a simple white tank. When it comes to boho, anything goes, so get creative if you want.
That Hat
The wool fedora hat really takes this look to the next level. I’ve seen bloggers wearing these Lack of Color “Rancher” hats year-round.
Word is they run large, so you should size down. And if you don’t know your hat size, you certainly want to measure your head for the proper sizing.
Those Booties
And in case that hat doesn’t make you look cool enough [it does], add some killer booties in snake print. These are available in limited sizes, but I found some more Vince Camuto booties that will be marked down during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that are just as hot.
I also found some with a lower heel and are available in wide width.
I really love ankle booties with shorts, skirts, and cropped jeans. Show those booties off!
See more ankle bootie links below.
Accessories
Throw on a slouchy bag. And a tan or cognac leather belt.
As for jewelry, layer on some necklaces. Add some large hoop earrings. And pile on the rings. I opted to include a pop of color with this statement turquoise ring.
And last but not least, add a beaded cuff bracelet. If you have a large wrist, opt for a wrap bracelet like this or this.

Adorable outfit! Those flared jeans are very cute.
Thanks!
Hi Alexa,
I love the Ruana. I would love to wear it to work. Any ideas on pulling that off?
Thanks for all you do!!!
Trisha
I’m not Alexa, but you could wear it over a solid black jumpsuit. With heels, flats or booties.
Andrea had a great suggestion. I also think you could wear it over a gaucho/cropped wide leg with some mules or ankle booties as we go into fall.
I love the ruana but is it too oong for us petites?
Sorry, Laura. I think it would be too long and overwhelming. ?
And unfortunately, I think it would be very difficult to alter/have altered.
It all fits together so well, I particularly love the slouchy bag. Nice ideas here!
Thanks! ?
Alexa I saw a really pretty ivory or white Fair Aisle sweater yesterday while viewing your blog — don’t know where from. Just flashed on Do you know❓
Was it on the blog? If so, it was likely this. Or I posted this one in Instagram stories.
Where can I get the distressed jeans in the original picture?
You can find them here.
