Broderie also known as eyelet is trending. You might remember that I mentioned that just the other day.

And while I tend to think of white broderie fabric, it comes in all colors, including black.

So why not try a black broderie blouse with a peplum?

So stinkin’ cute!

Keep the look easy with some distressed cut-off denim shorts.

You might remember this black macramé and fringed bag from a previous eyelet post.

It’s got the perfect vibe along with a knotted headband and retro Ray-Ban Highstreet sunglasses.

And lastly, I went with some comfortable big buckle Birkenstocks in glossy black.

Birkenstock Sizing

As I mention below, Birkenstock sizing can be a little confusing.

First, they’re made in Germany so they use European sizing, which is whole sizes only.

Second, some of their sandals, including those featured here, have unisex footbeds.

This means they are wider than women’s sandals.

So for Birkenstock sandals, a “Regular” width fits medium to wide feet.

And “Narrow” fits narrow to medium width feet.

Bottom line, check the width carefully before ordering Birks.

Jewelry

And for jewelry, gold classics: thick hoop earrings, delicate bracelets, and a coin necklace.

The hoop earrings featured in this look are made by PAVOI, which I’ve mentioned many times before.

You can find PAVOI on Amazon, and must say the quality is really great for the prices!

I actually own a bunch of PAVOI pieces now. I started with a couple of these thick gold hoops in the two larger sizes.

I’m quite impressed.

I’ve also recently discovered the brand Mevecco, also on Amazon.

I recently purchased this turquoise bracelet, paperclip bracelet, and cable bracelet.

I freakin’ love them all!

Jewelry Care

These are inexpensive plated pieces so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.

Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.

Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible. This will keep the plating from damage and tarnishing.

Beauty

I included my favorite lipstick, which you have heard me discuss many times before.

And then I added one of my current fragrance obsessions: Gucci’s Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia.

It smells like… you guessed it, gardenia. It’s sweet but not too sweet.
