I love camel or tan with black!
So today I give you a plus size camel and black outfit with this gorgeous double-breasted wool-cashmere coat. Swoon!
I can’t even tell you how long I have been looking for a coat like this!
Plus Size Faux Leather Leggings
These plus size faux leather leggings (here or here) are very well-reviewed with 4.5/5 stars.
It’s not surprising, considering they’re made by Spanx and offer the control that anyone can use when wearing a legging!
Some reviewers even reported that these leggings “hid” their cellulite.
What!?!
Spanx Leggings Sizing
They run a little small, but keep in mind, much like Spanx shapewear undergarments, they will be a pain in the a$$ to put on but that’s what you need to keep everything snatched!
They are a support level 2, which is mid-range for Spanx, which offer 3 levels of support.
So, you’ll want them to be tight. Something to think about when you’re evaluating the fit.
Also, you should probably size up, especially if you are apple-shaped. If you experience any rolling down at the waist, getting the next size up should fix that.
See the size chart below for more info.
Of course, if you don’t like the faux leather leggings, you can opt for my favorite ponte leggings.
And if you need larger sizes, check out these!
Outfit Details
In this look, I layered it over an all-black outfit.
A tunic length turtleneck sweater tops some faux leather leggings. So classic and cool.
While I show the outfit with some killer ankle booties, you could also opt for some black or white sneakers!
And a Burberry crossbody bag in their classic check pulls this look together.
Finish the look with some designer shades or some similar ones at a better price.

Are you a Walmart sponsor because I use to like your posts but alot of them see to be the really low quality Walmart brand. I mean a love a good bargain but many of these items are really cheezy. And cheap although the styling is fantastic.
Alexa also uses plenty of Nordstrom and J Crew. If you look at that post, there’s a Burberry handbag that’s probably at least $1,000. Mixing and matching within different price points keeps it interesting and doable for lots of people. Fashion isn’t about how much you can spend, it’s all about the styling 🙂
Alexa, I love the outfits you put together in this post. Do you have links for any of the outfits shown towards the bottom of this post?
Just click whichever outfit you’re interested in. It should take you to the post.
I just love your Walmart posts! I just purchased the camel coat from them! Today I wore the sweater with the big checks. It looks expensive and feels that way too!! Many compliments on the entire outfit! Please keep up the Walmart posts, I look so forward to them!
Thanks again,
Trisha
That’s wonderful to hear. Thanks so much!
Hi Alexa, So I bought the Torrid faux leather leggings before I read your post and they are thin and not flattering — FYI to all. It’s surprise because I LOVE Torrid — much of my wardrobe comes from them when it comes to basics. I am about a size 28 so the Spanx are a no-go for me. I bought the ponte ones and could not get them on (two kids will do that to you). I wish Spanx made one more size up — after all we are the ones who need their help the most! LOL. Thank you for all of your amazing outfit ideas just the same and if you ever get to give Spanx some feedback — let them know please! 🙂
I completely agree about the Spanx sizing.
And so disappointed to hear that about the Torrid ones.
Maybe try these: https://rstyle.me/+r9noGBQlHOjc2EpesEfsIA
They are given 4.6/5 stars and go to a 26W.
I hope to find (and try) some more options for those of us who are larger.
Such a cool, classy, hip ensemble. Every purchase I have made through your site from Walmart, Amazon, Nordstrom, etc. has ?????? exceeded my expectations. I just got back from running errands in an Adidas running suit with black turtle and a perfect hoody (prob. $7-8) from Walmart. Topped it off with a blanket scarf you recommended from Amazon. And I looked pretty darn good. And the perfect sunglasses! I would, never, ever have found the courage to go out and slay if it had not been for you. Thank you so much
Oh that’s so good to hear! ? Thank you for sharing! ❤
