Two plus size casual dress outfits: one for colder weather and one for warmer weather.
Both of these looks are from Walmart.

Plus Sizes at Walmart
As I’ve said, Walmart offers a great selection of plus sizes.
And Walmart’s Terra & Sky is a great brand for basics and cute trendy pieces.
The plus size black swing dress and plus size black t-shirt dress featured in these looks are made by Terra & Sky.
Terra & Sky offers sizes 14W – 26W, with select pieces up to a 5X or 32W/34W.
Look 1 Details
Look one is meant for colder weather, like early spring for me in the mid-Atlantic region.
A long sleeve plus size swing dress is topped with a denim jacket.
This look is sophisticated but boho with an ikat silk scarf and rancher hat.
The silk scarf in black and white ikat makes a bold statement and will go with so many pieces in your closet!
I added some black peep-toed booties. But, obviously, close-toed booties work as well and may be better for colder temps.
I kept the bag simple with a trendy shoulder bag in cognac.
And some basic hoop earrings are always a great choice.
These are 3″ but also available in 2.5″.

The second outfit idea is great for warmer climates or transitional seasons.
I also feel like this would be a great outfit for a teacher.
A similar plus size black dress with short sleeves is paired with the same denim jacket.
Plus, this look has the same boho-ish accessories as Look 1.
But, I swapped the booties for some flat leopard sandals.

Cute, I did something like this last weekend with a shacket instead of a jean jacket. I also wore fleece lined tights and riding boots because it was in the mid teens here. Could you suggest outfits for winter weather with temperatures below freezing?
Hi Jessica,
I can try to post more cold-weather looks. It will be more difficult now because resort and spring are actually coming out now! (I know!)
Most true cold-weather items are rather “picked over” after all of the holiday sales. But, I will see what I can do!
I look forward to your posts! My legs are not my strong suit, but I really think this is a cute look! Would wearing black leggings/tights work with this look, or do you suggest a different color?
Same here, Cindy. I immediately thought about tights to the rescue!
Yes, black tights or leggings are a great idea! I would rock them with some black booties. The ones above are peep-toe, so I would shy away from those. But, any black bootie will do!
Just clicked purchase on winter outfit option. Can’t wait ! this is a cute inexpensive look for work.
Oh, awesome! Please let us know what you think!
Although the black and white scarf is sold out online, I found it in Walmart. Same price $29. Super cute.
OMG! I am so impressed with the swing dress. What a great price! I love it as styled and with several Shein dusters recommended on other posts. Thanks so much!!!
Hello, always inspiring ideas. However, I notice a couple of remarks that almost covers what I am going to ask. Whenever you show ideas including dresses you never show ideas for stockings/tights/bare legs. A dress with opaque tights looks so different than with tan colour pr example. Could you show this more often, please as I as well as many others live in cold weather climates? The long sleeved dress here could use thin opaques in blackl to mirror shoes but in the tan colour could also give a lighter look though equally warm. Just a suggestion with MANY warm thanks and best wishes for a happy, healthy 2022. Kind regards Birgit
The scarf is cute, but it’s polyester, not silk.
