The Coastal Grandmother Trend

For those of you who haven’t heard of the “coastal grandmother” trend, it’s easy linen, button down shirts, cotton sweaters, neutral colors, and classic clean pieces.

Think of Diane Keaton’s wardrobe in “Something’s Gotta Give” or Grace Hanson’s outfits in “Grace and Frankie.”

Do you want to try this trend?  You don’t need to be an actual grandmother or have a house in the Hamptons to rock this aesthetic.

I chose to recreate a Grace Hanson outfit because I am a huge fan of “Grace and Frankie” and I love her style!

This look was fairly easy to recreate.  A striped button-down is topped with an oversized cashmere wrap.

I’m not sure what she was wearing on the bottom, but Grace Hanson often wears dark bootcut jeans with a heel.

I opted for some heeled loafers for the ultimate preppy but chic look.
