A plus size coastal style outfit for summer into fall.
This is a take on the “coastal grandmother” trend, which I just believe is enduring classic style.
The Coastal Grandmother Trend
For those of you who haven’t heard of the “coastal grandmother” trend, it’s easy linen, button-down shirts, cotton sweaters, neutral colors, and classic clean pieces.
Think of Diane Keaton’s wardrobe in “Something’s Gotta Give” or Grace Hanson’s outfits in “Grace and Frankie.”
Do you want to try this trend? You don’t need to be an actual grandmother or have a house in the Hamptons to rock this aesthetic.

Top the look with some of my favorite sunglasses (I have these and love them!) and a raffia bucket hat.
Jewelry
As for jewelry, I kept it classic, starting with cubic zirconia stud earrings.
And a gold wrist stack.
I want this turn-lock bracelet! So beautiful.
And I have this chain bracelet, it’s great and fits my slightly-larger-than-average wrists.
Try one of the Amazon bracelets for a selection of sizes.
Lastly, throw on my favorite gold ring. I wear it on my index finger. So fab!

Are wide leg jeans okay for people under 5 ft to wear?
Yes, of course, but with a couple of caveats. First, watch your proportions. See this post. You really want to elongate your legs as much as possible. And if you can wear a heel, even better. Second, look for a “straighter” wide leg rather than a “palazzo” style wide leg. I hope those tips help!
