Invited to a summer wedding? Here is a great plus size cocktail dress for a summer wedding styled to perfection!
This plus size dress is a beautiful pinky-coral color with an off-the-shoulder neckline.
By the way, if you’re looking for a strapless bra, try this one (or here). It goes up to a 44G.
But if you need a larger one, try this one, which goes to a 50H.
Accessories
From the top down. Add some crystal statement earrings to enhance your bare shoulders.
Then add some glow to your shoulders with some body highlight from Becca. Or this one from Makeup Revolution.
Maybe put a little on your legs too. Why not? It’s party time!
Grab an adorable straw clutch. This one has fringe and pearl accents.
Adorn a wrist with a crystal bracelet. Add a cocktail ring for good measure.
And for the star of the show: gold strappy wedges with ankle ties. They look a lot like these $700 bad boys.
Lipstick
Finish off your look with a pinky-coral lip, like “Pink Babylone” from YSL.
As I’ve said, the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-in-Stick Lipsticks (or here) are my favorite lipsticks.
I readily admit they are bougie AF and totally break the budget. But they are amazing!
They’re 65% oil and feel amazing on the lips! Not to mention they smell fantastic.
Plus, the packaging is so gorgeous that I actually bought a lipstick holder, like this one, to display them.
And I just can’t say enough great things about them!
The closest lippies I have found at more reasonable prices are L’Oreal’s Colour Riche Shine Lipstick and Sephora’s Rouge Lacquer Lipsticks.
While both are similar, they aren’t even close to the decadence of the YSL ones.

Absolutely LOVE this outfit! It’s a gorgeous shade of pink. The one on Amazon is much more affordable for me. Love the bags, but a bit too pricey for me. Thank you for this stunning dress just in time for spring!
Thanks!
Oh my goodness, this is too cute! What a perfect shade of pink!!
Right?!?!
Alexa, I’ve looked through some of your other wedding posts (mother of bride/groom) and I’m wondering if you could help.
I just found out I’m going to be mother of the groom at a Charleston beach wedding next spring. In my mind, beach wedding is flowy and spaghetti straps which would not work with my apple shape figure. Any ideas? Help please!
Try looking for empire waists like I talk about in my Apples post.
Here are some ideas: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (comes in several colors), 6.
Hope that helps!
I bought this dress in green for an upcoming wedding. Green just works better for my coloring (auburn hair, green eyes, fair skin) and it’s my fave! What color shoes would you recommend? Loving your blog… not so sure my bank account does, ha!
Hi Jacqueline,
With that green dress, you could do nude, silver, gold (probably better for your skin tone than silver). But, if you really wanted to “pop” try a hot pink shoe, like these.
I bought this dress in green for an upcoming Derby themed wedding in June – yes, I’ll be wearing a fascinator to boot. I’m so excited because it fits my body shape so well! I purchased it in pink as well, but it’s much brighter than what is shown on the website. I’l be returning that one. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
