Plus Size Fall Brights Outfit

The weather has turned cold and the trees are turning brown.

But that doesn’t mean that bright and vibrant tones shouldn’t be a part of your fall and, even, your winter wardrobe.

I so enjoy unexpected color palettes and this plus size outfit is no exception.  Plus, I love mixing prints!

Preppy Outfit Details

This plus size fall brights outfit it a little bit preppy.

A beautiful leopard cashmere sweater tops a classic white button down

I highly recommend this button down, which you can have custom-sized and has a hidden button at the bust to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions!

Wear this combo over skinny ankle jeans which is the perfect pairing for these bright pink tassel loafers, which also come in wide width!

I love the pop of pink in this simple ensemble, but it makes even more sense when you add the outer layers of an aqua turquoise wool coat and a plaid scarf.

Add some classic accessories like Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, Kate Spade stud earrings, a Tory Burch tote, Michael Kors watch, and the pièce de résistance, a Gucci belt.

Gucci Belts

As I’ve said, I haven’t personally tried the Double G Gucci belts, but they are still the “it” accessory.

Sadly, they aren’t large enough for me.  However, they come as large as a size 20 (or 44″ waist)!  See the updated size chart below for choosing the correct size.

Both the thinner Double G Gucci belts and the wider Double G Gucci belts now come up to a size 120!

The latter is probably a better choice for jeans depending on your personal preference.

So these belts are accessible to those with larger waists [and much larger wallets]! If they’re not in your budget, here and here are alternatives!

  1. Leggins are in fashion, yes, but not all of us can wear these and look less “plus” . What do you do if the bottom of your legs are large and the thighs are also? I have no desire to look lumpy or too large to wear these…what is your alternative?

    1. You have to try on different brands. Some show my lumps and some don’t. Also, I just bought a pair of shaping leggings. I’m thinking of trying them under skinnys. We’ll see.

    2. Well, in that case, I would opt for a different style of jean: straight leg, bootcut, or even kick flares. I hope everyone has their favorite “go to” jeans in their closet.

    3. Sometimes I see plus size women wearing tights and every time I always think “Wow! How nice to see a woman who wears what she likes and feels good in”- Don’t wear anything which makes you feel uncomfortable, ever, though you may notice lumps and bumps no-one else sees. If you like tight/leggings wear a winter quality – they are usually heavier in the knit and shape your figure more that a loose knit. (You could also argue that thin knits make even skinny women ‘wobble’ across the lower back and many of these people never let that stop them from wearing the tights.) Put on your tights or leggings, a nice top, do your hair and a smudge of lipstick and you’re all set to go. Don’t worry so much and so bleakly of what other people think – they don’t know you and you will never meet them again.

  2. Fantastic outfit! I absolutely love it! Thank you for the colorful outfit inspiration perfect for chasing away the gloom this winter!

    1. Where can I find skinny jeans that are not high waisted? I just want a regular Jean. Everything is high waisted now.
