It’s that time of year for light layers and earth tones. Today I bring you plus size fall neutrals on a budget. But, before getting into the details, I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
My “Disclaimer”
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
Plus Size on a Budget – Outfit Details
Like I said, this plus size fall look is all about the neutrals. A camel duster jacket is a great layer for cooler weather. Edit: several sizes were sold out by the time I went to post this, but I found this similar one in more sizes. Also, some links to more below. And I think a soft tench is also a great choice.
Nude Pumps
I kept things very neutral with a coordinating nude pump. I think these wide width pumps from Target are fantastic because they come in five different shades of nude. So no matter your skin tone or the look you’re going for, there is something for you. Target also has a medium width pump in six nude shades here.
Interesting Accessories
I then added some interest in the accessories. A trendy chocolate croc bag makes a statement. I love it! And it looks more expensive than it is, which is just the best! But, if it’s too large for you, I found a smaller crossbody bag that would also look beautiful.
The leopard belt also adds an interesting detail. And, as I’ve said, leopard is a neutral. The tortoise hoop earrings and sunglasses add more tans and browns to the outfit’s analogous color palette. And lastly, I added a trendy layered necklace, which measures over 17″ at the shortest, which should work well on most necks. It also has an extender if you need it to be longer.

I love this outfit ensemble you put together. I especially love the neck line of body suit. I am a fan.
