Ever since I posted my plus size summer work capsule, I have received requests to do the same for fall. So today I give you a plus size fall work capsule wardrobe.
This collection of business casual and professional outfits will get you through the fall and winter.
Thirteen pieces, three pairs of shoes, and accessories give you more than forty outfit options.
This time you said you wanted to see more jewelry and accessories, so hopefully, this fits the bill with five necklaces to really switch things up!
Color Story
Much like my last work capsule, I opted for a lot of neutrals: navy, rust, black, and off-white.
I added in a lilac color because I found several great prints from the Nordstrom Halogen collection that uses most of my color scheme.
Plus, the plaid suit features a lilac color too. It is black, white, rust, and lilac. So I really lucked out with finding those key pieces.
Accessories
You guys said you wanted to see some more accessories and I listened. However, I kept the earrings, bracelet, and watch to the typical pieces you see on the blog. I actually own those gold hoop earrings. Love them!
As for the necklaces, I chose two long necklaces and three bib-style statement necklaces.
I really wanted to demonstrate how different an outfit can look with different statement pieces. See these examples:
Supplemental Pieces
I also wanted to mention that the navy suit has a coordinating skirt which is likely worth the investment. You can obviously wear it with the navy jacket. But also swap it out for the navy pants whenever you choose.
There are also some more Halogen pieces that coordinate with this capsule: a lilac floral blouse, a rust and navy dot blouse, and a striped sleeveless blouse.
If I were investing in this work wardrobe, I would probably pick these up too just to have more options.

Thanks, Kathleen! ❤
These are great looks! I work from home – do you have a WFH Fall capsule look? I’m so tired of shorts and t-shirts. Would love an updated, comfy look for WFH.
I received a lot of requests for one, so it’s on my agenda! Thanks for the suggestion!
This is fantastic. I feel like this is really going to take my style up a notch at work without looking like I’m trying too hard. Thank you for putting this together!!!
Yay! You’re welcome!
Seeing a work capsule wardrobe makes me miss working in an office….maybe….sorta….not really! I’ve been a remote worker for 5 years now and don’t think I’d ever want to go back to working in an office, but this collection is gorgeous and I love the color combos.
Haha! Relatable. And thank you!
Love it!!!! And I don’t even work from home lol! Could you do a work from home one for those of us not heading into the office? Please.
It’s on my list! Thanks for the suggestion!
Blue suit is so wonderful!
Agreed.
I love your capsule’s! These colors look fabulous together. Really like the lilac accents and the accessories you chose.
Thanks, Michele!
Oh, man. this is awesome. My work wardrobe definitely needed a fall refresh and this fit the bill!
Wonderful!
Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you so much for this lovely capsule! Work well done my friend!

Aww, thank you, Trisha!
Thank you so much!!!!
This is awesome
Yes please, some professional, Zoom appropriate WFH outfits! Those of us teaching remotely like to look stylish, too.
Will do!
You’re welcome! Thank you for reading!
Can you pretty please put together a work-from-home capsule??
Yep! It’s on my list! ?
I love this work wardrobe, especially the lavender with traditional fall colors. The rust and black outfit is so smart with the shoes and necklace tying it together. I never would have thought to put it together but I love it!
Thank you! ❤
This is just fabulous!! I love the lilac colors with the brown tones! Who knew! Thank you so much for pulling this together. It all works so well together..
Thank you so much,
Tina
You’re very welcome! Thank you for reading! ❤
O.M.G. ? I would never have considered lavender and rust together but this is amazing! LOVE THIS. Thanks!
Thanks, Anne!
I love how the lilac and rust really spark up the navy, black, gray and ivory basics! I am no longer employed, but will use this as inspiration with more casual pieces. Thanks so much.
You’re welcome! ❤
I want it all……this a one of the most comprehensive work capsules I have ever come across. I have already brought several pieces and intend to buy more.
Thank you Alexa Webb
Tha’s great to hear! Thanks, Sandi!
Great combos. Seeing that so many of us are working from home for the foreseeable future can you do a version of this for work from home? Appropriate for zoom but comfy for wearing around the house?
Yes, it’s on my to do list! ?
Do you feel these colors would work for most, or only some of us? The rust in particular I am not sure would work for me. It is not a color I wear. I love the way you put outfits and accessories together!!! What do you estimate is the cost for the wardrobe?
For color, you really only have to worry about the colors around the face, meaning tops, blazers, and cardis. These looks have a mix of warm and cool tones. So depending on which look best on you, you may decide to forgo some pieces. For example, if you look better in cool tones- the rust pants should be fine, but the JCrew Heather Hickory Sweater might be a pass.
Super cute as I work a Hybrid schedule so nice to have some options when I am in the office. Very classic style. Like your options with wide width shoes!
Thanks, Chris! ?
Ordered several of the staple items tonight! That bib necklace, though! Can you source something similar that is a little less expensive? It just MAKES the outfits that you paired it with, but I cannot afford it at that price point.
How about this or this?
Saw more on LTK links, so may go with one of those. The rust pants are gone! Hope they will restock or maybe have another source for them soon! They look amazing, I was just too late to the party!
I get so much inspiration from your seasonal work capsules. I pull out what I own and see what I should buy to refresh my wardrobe every season. It’s such a great jumping board for me
That’s great to hear! Thank you!
Best presentation of a capsule wardrobe I have seen. Thanks for showing each combination close up!
I just love this capsule wardrobe! Thank you so much for focusing on plus size, there is not much out there …. on line, in stores. Plus size women are probably the majority but are just not often represented. I appreciate all you do.
Love these looks. Classic is always the way to go!
Right on! 😁
