Summertime and the livin’s easy! Whether you hear Sublime or Ella Fitzgerald, you know that feeling when the sun is shining, warming your skin, and you know that summer has arrived. This plus size gingham skirt outfit makes me think of that moment.
An adorable blue gingham skirt is the show-stopping piece of this look.
Wearing Linen
This gingham skirt is 100% linen. Perfect for keeping cool this spring and summer!
Linen might seem difficult to deal with, but it’s actually quite easy. And it’s machine washable!
But, as I’ve said, people often ask me how to keep their linen clothes from wrinkling.
For one, linen is always going to wrinkle. Always.
And really, that is part of “the look.” You know, that rich bougie b!tch look that I love so much!
Two, a linen-blend will wrinkle less. But, this skirt is not a blend.
And three, if you iron with starch, linen will wrinkle slightly less.
But, I say, just let it go!

The puff sleeve top will also keep you cool. It’s a cotton poplin with a little bit of elastane for stretch.
Keep yourself protected from the sun with some trendy sunglasses and a straw boater hat.
Add some pops of orange with statement hoop earrings and some slide sandals.
Of course, a bold orange lip makes a great choice of lippy. These KVD liquid lipsticks are transfer-proof, as are my favorites.
Opt for a straw or rattan clutch for this summery vibe.
Complete the look with a coin necklace and layered bracelets.

I wanted to show you another option for this look. If puff sleeves aren’t your thing, choose a white tee! I opted for a trendy squareneck t-shirt.

Cute and cheerful summer outfit! I like the contrast of orange versus the typical red and blue
