This is Part 1 of 2 “Plus size Gucci Scarf Outfits” posts.
I took one Gucci-inspired scarf and styled it into eight different plus size looks. This is a “micro” capsule wardrobe tied together by one scarf!
In this first post, I talk about the first five outfit ideas. Please subscribe to receive Part 2 by email!
Plus Size Gucci Scarf Outfits
You might notice that there are a lot of designer pieces in these looks but, as always, I included less expensive alternatives. Just look for the links named “less $ similar.”
Look 1 – Blazer & Jeans
This first look is one of my favorites! A red plus size double-breasted blazer is paired with jeans.
Unless you’re new here, you already know I love a jeans and blazer combo!
I show a t-shirt with this look, but any white or cream top will do.
And as I mentioned, I added some designer accessories, like this Gucci tote, Gucci sunglasses, Valentino bracelet, and a Gucci belt, for good measure.
Gucci Belts
As I’ve said, I haven’t personally tried the Double G Gucci belts, but they are still the “it” accessory. Sadly, they aren’t large enough for me. However, they come as large as a size 20 (or 44″ waist)!
See the updated size chart below for choosing the correct size.
Both the thinner Double G Gucci belts and the wider Double G Gucci belts now come up to a size 120! The latter is probably a better choice for jeans depending on your personal preference. So these belts are accessible to those with larger waists [and much larger wallets]!
If they’re not in your budget, here and here are alternatives!
And it probably goes without saying, but wearing no belt is also an option! Do what works for you!

Look 2 – Blazer & Faux Leather Leggings
This second look is the same idea but with faux leather leggings and ankle booties.
Plus Size Faux Leather Leggings
These plus size faux leather leggings are very well reviewed with 4.5/5 stars.
It’s not surprising, considering they’re made by Spanx and offer control that anyone can use when wearing a legging!
Some reviewers even reported that these leggings “hid” their cellulite. What!?!
Sizing
They run a little small, but keep in mind, much like Spanx shapewear undergarments, they will be a pain in the a$$ to put on but that’s what you need to keep everything snatched!
They are a support level 2, which is mid-range for Spanx, which offer 3 levels of support. So, you’ll want them to be tight. Something to think about when you’re evaluating the fit.
Also, you should probably size up, especially if you are apple-shaped. If you experience any rolling down at the waist, getting the next size up should fix that.
See the size chart below for more info.
As always, if you don’t want to wear faux leather leggings you can trade them for ponte knit leggings or black skinny jeans.

Again, another variation on the same theme. This time choosing a green sweater-blazer and some designer kicks. This look is slightly more casual with a less structured “jacket,” a tote bag, and sneakers.

Look 4 – Trench & Jeans
Same idea, just swapping the sweater-blazer for a trench coat. Still keeping it casual with sneakers.

Look 5 – Trench, Jeans & Pumps
Same idea, but this time dressing up a little by swapping the sneakers for pumps and a casual LV tote for a dressier Gucci tote.

Love the versatility of this look! I bought the scarf, a similar green sweater jacket from Talbots, and have a red blazer and khaki trench already. Can’t wait to wear them. Thanks for great styling tips!
Sounds perfect!
I LOVE the outfits that you put together! May you tell me where you found the red blazer (Look 1 – Blazer & Jeans)? Thanks!
The original blazer is sold out (actually, I believe it was from Simply Be, which is no longer available in the US). But I added links to similar blazers above.
