Two plus size jeans and sneakers outfits for casual outings this winter into spring.

Yes, I am already talking about spring! Wishful thinking, y’all. I’m cold!

This first plus size outfit idea features a striped turtleneck sweater.

But, if you’re unsure about stripes, please read this post “Are horizontal stripes REALLY making you look fat?,” written by Melissa at Suger Coat It.

She explains, “No, horizontal stripes won’t make you look fat. Only being fat makes you look fat. And you know what, that’s okay.”

I think Melissa does a fantastic job of breaking down this outdated “rule” regarding plus sizes and stripes.

Stay comfortable and on-trend with these Veja sneakers.

And while we’re being sporty (with messy hair(?)), might as well throw on a baseball cap.

If you aren’t into a team, opt for a basic khaki or beige baseball cap.

I have two pairs of these “Tahoe” sunglasses and love them!

Then add an on-trend woven bag which can be carried as a tote or across the body.
