Three plus size lavender blazer outfit ideas for spring: one for date night, work, and casual weekends. At first glance, you might think a pastel blazer is hard to style. But, this plus size lavender blazer is so versatile! See…
Plus Size Lavender Blazer Outfit Ideas
Look 1
This first look is perfect for a spring or summer date night. Again, at first glance, you might not think of a pastel blazer as a great choice for a sleek night look. But, you can make it sexy with a long Y-necklace over a woven cami.
As you are certainly aware by now, I love jeans! And I love dressing up jeans for date nights too. I remember loving these jeans, I may still have them somewhere, but they stopped fitting when I gained weight. Point is, they are pretty great!
I believe I have the classic, which fits hourglasses. But, they also make them for apples, the Gena fit. And to fit pears, called the Viola fit.
And of course, any heeled sandal adds that something. In this case, I chose a coordinating lavender suede sandal, but any nude, gold, or cream sandal will also work. I love that these block heeled sandals come in wide too!
Throw on a clutch in a gold snake-print or even leopard for added interest. I chose this hot Gucci clutch, but I give some great less pricey alternatives below.
And of course, try a purple smoky eye to complete your look. I picked this Charlotte Tilbury quad because I am dying to try it, especially “The Rebel” after seeing this video. But, I also think the much less expensive Colour Pop palettes are amazing and they have some awesome color stories too!

Look 2
This look is great for the office. Essentially, I just found a coordinating floral midi skirt. The striped version would also work since it too has lavender. Wear it high-waisted for a more flattering silhouette.
I show it with the same cami, but any cream or white top would work. And if you want to take the blazer off, you’ll probably want a top with more coverage.
Add a red statement necklace and red tote to complement the print of the skirt. Of course, a black tote works too. I again added the coordinating lavender suede sandals, but black sandals, pumps, or flats work too.

Just an FYI…I bought a crossbody round straw purse. It’s made by Novum Crafts and it is gorgeous.
Awesome! 🙂
I love the babydoll top in the 3rd look. I have never thought I could wear something like that due to my need for a heavy duty bra. I know the blazer will cover the bra straps, but I will probably get hot and want to take it off at some point. Does anyone have any advice?
If you can’t do a strapless bra. Maybe try one with coordinating straps?
FYI Nordstrom has taken shoes down. I can’t find the wide purple flats on their website.
Hi Kitty,
Sorry, I updated one of the links but not the other. Here are the shoes.
Bought the purple blazer from Eloquii! Had to buy a cute white work blouse while on the website. I went to buy the purple floral tank from Torrid but they only have 00 left. 🙁 I’m a 2 at Torrid. Sad Panda.
Also, I know many people are not ‘working’ in the normal sense of the word but I plan to be back in the office in the next month or two. I’d like to build a respectable summer work wardrobe. Any work postings coming our way?
Hi Kitty,
I found several other tops that may work as well: 1, 2, 3, 4. Maybe one of those will work for you!
I will try to put together some work looks for summer. Thanks!
