I was updating some old posts featuring midi skirts and realized it’s been too long since I’ve posted any similar looks. So this post goes out to all the skirt-lovers! I give you three plus size midi skirt outfits! I think these would also make great outfits for teachers. But, they are also casual and perfect for brunches and coffee dates. Right?

Plus Size Midi Skirt Outfits
Plus Size Mustard Skirts
The plus size midi skirts I feature are pleated in the front and gathered in the back, making them rather full skirts. If you’re an apple, wear these skirts higher to create that faux silhouette I talk about in my post on styling apples. But, if you prefer an A-line skirt, I found a similar one here. A-line skirts are great for pear shapes. And I also found a pencil skirt in the same color, if that’s your jam. Pencil skirts are great for hourglass shapes. As always, be mindful of proportions when deciding how high or low to wear your skirt.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have come across a couple that I like… I will keep my eye out.
Hello Alexa,
I just wanted to thank you for the work you do! I love the classic styles you present. For instance, I have a pair of mustard pants (I do not wear that color around my face) that I will pair with a denim jacket and striped top that you show in today’s page. I began following your blog about 18 months ago when I wore a 20-22. After losing 83 pounds, I now wear a size 12. I continue to follow your blog to look for the ideas, if not all the items, you promote. I realize the primary purpose of your page is to address fashion for larger-sized women, but I wanted you to know that there are some of us who like your looks, no matter the size. Links to sites which serve a wide range of sizes are appreciated!
Thanks, Paula! Many of the items I feature are also available in smaller sizes. If not directly linked, often available at the same site in the straight size department. I’m thinking of Lands’ End, JCrew, and most of the pieces from Nordstrom too.
Hi Alexa!
Just found your blog and love it! The looks are ones that I feel comfortable wearing and I’m inspired constantly. How full would the first midi skirt be? I am a definite pear but have a post-pregnancy belly that needs a bit of hiding. Which skirt would you recommend?
Thanks!
Thank you!!! I think either would work, but I would probably go with the A-line.
I love these outfits! It’s crazy to see how you can make three totally different outfits with the same midi skirt.
Thanks!
LOVE this outfit with the blue sweater! Gonna wear it. Thanks!
That’s great to hear!
