One of my go-to outfit “formulas” is a cardigan, a white tee or tank, and a pair of jeans.  This plus size ombré cardigan will take any tee and jeans look to the next level!

First, the cardi adds interest with beautiful colors woven into an ombré stripe.  Second, it’s modern with a slouchy fit and blouson sleeves.  Perfection!  [Chef’s kiss]

Layer for the Seasons

Although I styled this look to be a plus size winter outfit idea, you can always switch things up seasonally.  By the way, this cardigan is a cotton-blend, so it shouldn’t be too warm for those who are “thermally sensitive” [I hear you, ladies! 😉 ] or live in warmer climates.

And you can switch up the under-layer depending on the season or weather.  You can layer with a lightweight tank, a long-sleeved t-shirt, or a turtleneck.  And top with a parka as needed.

Then, come spring, swap the ankle booties for some Birks and you’re set with a transitional outfit.  I think this cardi is easily a three-season piece.
