My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

  • “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
  • You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
  • Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit 1 Details

The first look starts with comfortable leggings.  Yes, all about comfort!

Add this tunic-length red turtleneck sweater.  You’ll be cozy and have some bum-coverage.

Now, the pièce de résistance: these plaid kitten heels with pearl adornment.  So chic!

If you’d prefer a sturdier heel, check these out.

Accessories & Jewelry

Top the look with some trendy oversized black square sunglasses.

A black top handle tote bag with gold hardware looks great with this ensemble.

As for jewelry, I went with some gold and pears.

Not only are pearls trending, but they look great with the shoe embellishment.

So grab some pearl drop earrings and a set of pearl and gold bracelets.

Beauty

Of course, I would go with a bold red lip for this look.

And I know I have talked about Dossier many times, but I really love this brand and the price tags!

I opted for Dossier’s “Ambery Vanilla” which is inspired by YSL’s “Black Opium.”

In my opinion, these scents are as good as the fragrances they are inspired by.

Yasssss!  An amazing luxurious scent at a fraction of the price!

Outfit 2 Details

This look has a similar vibe to the first, but I wanted to include this amazingly priced faux leather skirt.

It will look good with this red crew neck sweater.

For this outfit, I like the length of this sweater better that the tunic-length sweater in the first look.

Remember to keep your proportions in mind.

Of course, I added the same plaid heels (yes, I am kind of obsessed).

And I finished the look with a black shoulder bag that can also be worn as a crossbody.

I love the gold hardware on this bag and I think it looks a lot like a Coach bag, but at a much better price.
