A plus size sequin holiday outfit idea for my “plus size on a budget series!” 

This look is perfect for holiday parties and dinners.  And all on a budget!

My “Disclaimer”

I want to prevent some anticipated feedback.  So please keep these things in mind:

• “Budget” is relative.  Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
• You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less.  These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across.  And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed.  Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
• Recycle & reuse.  As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe.  Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks.  Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

Outfit Details

A plus size sequin black skirt is paired with an embellished sweater.

And to make it look a little preppier and to break up the black, add a white collared shirt under the sweater.

Clearly, this it totally optional.  And if you live in a warmer climate, try this plus size embellished shirt instead.

For shoes, I went with these low black patent cap-toed heels.  I love the bow detail!

Add a top-handle bag with a crystal bow embellishment.  So cute!

Top the look with some oversized sunglasses, which I doubt you will need, but just in case it’s sunny.

(They look a lot like these Fendi sunglasses, just sayin’)

Jewelry

For jewelry, I kept things preppy and classic, starting with bow and pearl earrings.

Then stack your wrist with this set of gold tennis bracelets.

And this beautiful big pearl and crystal cocktail ring is a showstopper.

Beauty

In honor of the holidays, I decided to add a bold red lip with this lipstick.

The perfume I featured is from Dossier.

I own their “Floral Ylang Ylang,” which is inspired by Chanel’s Gabrielle.

I used the whole bottle within months, which given my vast perfume collection, means it was a real favorite!

I highly recommend!  A designer scent at a fraction of the price! Oh la la!
