A plus size teacher outfit for my “plus size on a budget series!”
I created this look with teachers in mind, but this plus size outfit idea can be worn to work or even business casual offices.

Plus Size on a Budget – Teacher Outfit
My “Disclaimer”
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
Outfit Details
A plus size fall and winter work outfit idea with plus size teal bootcut corduroy pants.
By the way, you can also get the same teal pants with a wide leg or straight leg.
And as I said, if you’re looking for more ways to style these teal pants, go here.
I kept things monochromatic by adding a teal sweater.
And to make it look a little more professional, preppy, and to break up the color, add a white collar shirt under the sweater.
And a brown belt.
Grab a tan bucket bag and tan loafers to complete the ensemble.
More Outfit Details
Top the outfit with some oversized square sunglasses.
I have these sunnies in black. I love them!
And they look just like some Fendi shades but at a fraction of the price. Oh yes!
Add my favorite gold hoop earrings.
I have these beauties in all four sizes, love them!
As for the rest of the jewelry, I kept things gold and trendy: a gold bracelet set and a gold dome ring.
Perfume
As for the perfume, it’s my longtime “signature scent.”
I have been in love with this fragrance, Vera Wang, since college.
If may smell “dated” but I always get compliments on it.
And the best part is that now it’s inexpensive.
If you’re into light florals, I highly recommend it.
