Whether you are at work or at play, this plus size peplum top from City Chic is sure to keep you looking fashion forward. In the first outfit, I simply added jeans and some glamorous accessories, like chandelier earrings and a leopard clutch. In the second outfit, I made things work appropriate by adding a pencil skirt and simple yet chic accessories. Add a blazer or cardigan to either look for more coverage.
I am a long time fan of City Chic, so if you aren’t familiar with the brand, here is a little about them: City Chic offers quality and stylish plus size clothing in sizes 14 – 24. They’re an international brand that is carried by major department stores in the US and worldwide. So if you haven’t heard all about them, you should certainly get to know them. They offer free shipping and free returns for all US customers! Woot! And, they are offering my readers a discount code! Use code ALEXAWEBB30 for 30% off any regularly priced items, one use per customer. Also, their clothes are true to size, but as always, I recommend checking their size chart before ordering.

Love you outfits! Thank you! You’ve inspired me to think in new ways about clothing and accessories! 🙂 Wanted to give some feedback about my experience with City Chic. I have ordered several items from them in the past year. Each time I have found their sizing to be spot on and their clothing quite flattering. However, I have some huge concerns about quality of their clothing. I have purchased 4 items from them and all had at least one issue. Seams are coming loose and two of the t-shirts are pilling (hope I spelled this right, lol) after just a couple of uses and one cold water wash with no dryer (camo t and black t). One top (3/4 sleeve black and white strip top) arrived with the bottom seem unraveled – before wearing. Since their clothing can be a little expensive, I wanted to share my experience with everyone. I would never order anything that I couldn’t at least get a 30% discount, and typically I will try and find it from another store before I go to City Chic. This is so sad because I love their styling! If they could just improve the quality of their fabrics and the construction of the garments to match their pricing I would be good to go! 🙂
Hi Kori,
Thank you! 🙂 And I’m sorry to hear that you weren’t pleased with your purchases. I hope that you contacted CC about your concerns and the situation(s) were rectified. I’m surprised to hear this as I have ordered many times from them and been pleased with the quality. However, I haven’t purchased their tees (because, as I’m sure you know, I’m obsessed with and have a lifetime supply of Yours Clothing tees). I have mainly bought blazers, many of which I have had for years and have held up well, and dresses. So I’m not sure if this is a new issue or perhaps a couple of random bad experiences. I always appreciate feedback as I like to promote things I can stand behind. I do hope you have contacted them about these issues. If I can be of any help with that, please let me know.
Thanks!
