This plus size plaid flannel shirt outfit is for my mom.  Upon seeing this post, she purchased the bright green glossy hunter boots and coordinating beanie.  And she already has this white vest.  So I told her she needs to pick up some plaid flannel shirts to add into the rotation.  And then I saw this plus size plaid flannel shirt in coral and green!  Gasp!  So, hopefully, this ensemble will convince her she needs this look!

Wide Calf Hunter Boots

As I discussed in a previous post, the iconic Hunter rain boots are now available in wide calf!  Hunter calls them “adjustable” and will fit up to an 18″ calf.  They also come in matte colors (or here).  Woot!  By the way, if you need help measuring your calves and shopping for wide calf boots, be sure to read this post.

Ponte Leggings

Although I featured these plus size leggings {sold out}, I want to point out that my favorite ponte knit leggings are these.  Just so we’re on the same page, ponte knit is much thicker than jersey knit.  It is a much more flattering and forgiving fabric.  It is also more appropriate for colder temperatures.  Personally, I get too hot in ponte knit in the summer.  But, I love it in fall and winter!

As for the Eloquii Miracle Leggings, pretty much everyone who has tried them has told me they love them!  They don’t “bag out” and stay up all day.  No yanking on the waistband!  Plus, they are completely opaque, so even if your top is not tunic length, you’re not “exposing” yourself.  They also have seaming down the front, which is a nice touch.  And they come in sizes 14 – 32.  I highly recommend them!  Someone recently asked for a ponte knit legging for petites, and I recommend these.
