Classic pieces, like a blazer, button-down and loafers, come together to create this “plus size preppy blazer outfit.”
A few modern touches like these boyfriend jeans and the leopard print on the loafers keep the look fresh.
Throw on a crossbody bag and designer sunnies to complete the ensemble.

I so wanted these loafers. Great find! All wide width are currently unavailable! Deep sigh.
Oh no! 🙁 Some of the alternatives have wide widths in stock.
The Kut from the Kloth Catherine style = my favorite boyfriend jeans! I think you can size down.
Good tip, thank you!
I agree and wish I would have seen this comment 2 days! I ordered my normal size (16W) and they weren’t falling off of me, but pretty baggy in the waist area. Maybe I am just used to things fitting more snugly, but I’m afraid that after a little wear, they will get super baggy. The legs actually fit nicely. I love ALL KFTK jeans!
Hi Alexa, I have a very hard time finding a blazer to fit me , I have an apple shape and a size 14 is a little too small and the 16 is too big on the shoulders. Love your postings and really look forward to them.
Hi Nancy,
A few things… First, have you read my post on apple shapes? It might be helpful.
Second, are you trying blazers that have stretch? Better would be a ponte knit blazer like this or this. The latter has enough structure and meant to be worn open, so it will be easier to fit while still flattering.
Third, look for blazers with one button that hits right under the bust, theoretically the smallest part of your mid-section. See this one and this one.
I hope that helps!
Would love to see a blog post just on accessories! Like your favorite black clutch, favorite tote, etc. Love everything you put together!
Thanks, Liz! I’ll add it to my list of ideas.
