Plus Size Resort Capsule – Part 1

As Always, a Disclaimer

Let me preface this with what I regularly say when creating a capsule:  I am NOT a minimalist.   

If you’re looking for a minimalist capsule, I’m not your girl. 

I am an unapologetic clothes horse.  Every closet in my house, plus a spare bedroom, plus half of my dining room, are full of clothes!  (I need an intervention.)

Plus Size Resort Capsule – Part 1

This cute little collection is meant to be mixed and matched for your next tropical vaycay!

Fifteen garments, including four swimsuits, three pairs of shoes, two bags, and some great accessories all come together to make a bunch of looks for a variety of vacation activities.

I leaned a bit heavily on Boden, which has sizes up to a 22.  I would prefer to feature more items that at least go to a size 24, but I was having a hard time finding resort wear.  

I will continue to add links as I come across more options.  But, in the meantime, check out the looks from this travel capsule.

Plus Size Swimwear

Clearly your warm weather trip will have you headed to the pool, beach, or some body of water, so I put together some swimwear “ensembles.”

I found this navy printed “beach dress” with an adorable back tie and ruffle sleeve.  I think it looks great with the swimsuits.

If that’s not your vibe, try a navy maxi skirt like this for a swim cover-up.

You can also pack this plus size green maxi dress which can be worn as a cover-up or a dress,

The green dress looks great with each swimsuit!

But, it also looks great worn as a dress.  By the way, you can wear it with straps or strapless.

Strapless Bra Recommendations

When going strapless or wearing a halter, I always recommend two bras, one is strapless and the other is a multi-way bra with removable straps.

First, the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra (also, here or here) which has excellent reviews and fits up to a size 44G.

Second, the Multi-Way Boost Strapless Bra which fits up to a size 50DDD.

But, for the sake of packing light, I would go with the Multi-Way bra as you can comfortably wear it with all of the pieces.

You can dress up this green maxi dress or simply throw on some sneakers with it.

Plus Size Vacation Dresses

This plus size navy linen dress looks so rich! 

I love it with this set of coin necklaces and a coin bracelet.  So chic!

Grab a raffia clutch and some textured cognac heeled slide sandals.

If you’re looking for flat options, check out these. 

This plus size embroidered dress is a great choice to be comfortable but cute.

Add some pink statement earrings and a green malachite ring.

Shimmering Shoulders and Skin

I included some of my favorite beauty products, including those for fun in the sun.

Add some shimmering body oil, body highlight, or even a shimmering skin tint to any exposed skin.  Oh la la!

Or try my new fave “Glow Screen.”

If you haven’t heard, this shimmering sunscreen is a new influencer favorite.

I didn’t believe the hype.  But then I tried it and whoa!

It is meant for the face and moisturizes the skin and offers SPF 40 protection.

It has a shimmer to it, similar to the effect of Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter.

So not glittery but, offers a significant glow to the skin.  And it comes in 4 shades.

It can be worn daily under foundation for a “lit from within” glow.

Or you can wear it alone to have a stunning glow while protecting yourself from the sun!

More Thoughts on Glow Screen

Honestly, I felt like a glamorous golden sun goddess when I tried “Glow Screen“ and I was sitting in my living room at night.

So, it is effective.  Lol. 

And I do believe the ingredients are good for your skin.

I mean it has 4 different types of sunscreen!

But, it is hella expensive for some sunscreen that you have to re-apply every 2 hours.

So I did find some similar alternatives with a much better price tag:
