As I have mentioned several times in the past, I love sparkly clothes! Ok, if I am being honest, I am a total magpie. I border on tacky if I don’t edit carefully.
Glittery eyeshadow, I’m there. Sequin dresses, yes please. Mirrored home goods, sign me up.
And this plus size sequin pants outfit is no exception! And this look is a great alternative to dresses this holiday season.
Those bomb-ass red sequin pants are giving me life! I am a big fan of Elvi, which, by the way, you can get a limited selection of their collection at Nordstrom. Unfortunately, they don’t carry these pants.
Edit: As I went to publish this post, I saw that the red sequin pants are no longer available in the full selection of sizes. So, I listed some alternatives below in case your size isn’t available, but I think I may have overdone it.
So, just to edit my edit, my favorite alternative pants for this look are: these gold sequin wide leg pants (they look like they belong is Vogue) with the same earrings in gold/white or swap to these in gold.
I also listed some awesome red pants alternatives that work well too.
UPDATE: The Elvi Sequin Pants are now available at Nordstrom! And ASOS!
Now let’s talk about my new favorite make-up product! As I mentioned in my November Favorites, I got Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set, which is sold out now.
But don’t stress, you can still buy them individually. By the way, I was wearing the Diamond Dust color in my recent popular Instagram post in which you said you wanted to hear about my make up.
I love a good inner-corner highlight! My go-to is L’Oreal’s Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte, which you can get at Walgreen’s or Target.
But to really “bring it,” I added Diamond Dust to my inner-corner and inner one-half of my lid. And O.M.F.G., my eyes “pop” like crazy! So, this combo is going to be my new routine for night time make-up. Oh, who am I kidding? I’ll probably wear it in the daytime too!
So I tried to find less expensive alternatives for the Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, but couldn’t think of anything except for maybe Colour Pop’s Supernova Shadows, but they don’t have silver.
I also included this uber-expensive eye shadow palette, which is really not necessary. My smoky eyes usually come from an Urban Decay Palette, like the Naked OG and there are great drug store alternatives too (listed below).

I just love your posts. I look forward to them every time I read your blog! Your style is so sassy and it makes me feel better that I am not a skinny mini! You know how to show the world that beauty and style are just that – beauty and style! Thanks for giving all price options and putting together great options!
Thank you, Josie!!! π
I have a pair of red pants (not sparkly) that I love. You wouldn’t think they are such a versatile piece but they totally are!
So true! I feel the same way about red flats!

I need help finding something red with all over sequins, preferably a loose fitting jacket in plus sizes. Got anything in your bag of trucks??
Hi Sheila,
I really can’t think of anything like that I have come across and a simple search showed nothing. π Perhaps there is an alternative?
