It is nearly just two weeks until New Year’s Eve!

I always try to think of a fantastic outfit, even if I end up just wearing jeans or PJs (I was snuggled in bed with my dogs watching the ball drop last year).  

My favorite NYE outfit ever was this one (pictured left).  I bought that amazing sequin peplum top several years ago from ASOS, sadly they no longer have it.  Remember how I said I stock up on sequins during the holiday season?  Lol.  I wasn’t kidding.  It’s a problem.  🙂

Anyway, I love to mix sequins with more casual pieces, such as jeans or a denim jacket. And maybe add a statement piece or two for special occasions.  

And when I came across this mind-blowing Mongolian fur stole, well, I knew I had found my statement piece!

Even discounted by forty percent, its a quite a bit more than most people would spend, even on a luxury statement piece.  However, I couldn’t resist creating a look with it.  

So there are two outfits below.  One is my “dream” outfit and the other more realistic.  Although I am going to watch that stole because if it gets discounted more it’s coming home with me.

Both looks feature this plus size silver sequin skirt from Society+.  It is available in sizes 14 – 32.  And I love that it is an A-line skirt rather than a pencil/straight skirt, which can be less forgiving in sequins.
