A super cute plus size snow day outfit for wintery weather. Stay warm, cozy, look adorbs and a little bougie in this ensemble.
Plus Size Snow Day Outfit
Outfit Details
A plus size winter outfit idea because winter seems to be giving all of us a hard time this year!
So we might as well look good while we’re freezing, slipping, and sliding, amirite?
Start with this tunic-length sweater. It measures 34″ from the shoulder so it should offer some nice bum-coverage.
So this sweater is a great choice to pair with some athletic leggings.
My Favorite Athletic Leggings
Now let’s talk leggings. First, you may recall that I recently wrote about my favorite ponte knit leggings.
The style of leggings I feature in this look is for exercising and lounging. Different vibe, different fabric.
The actual leggings I included are highly rated, longtime best sellers from Zella.
Everyone loves them!
I need them a bit larger, so I thought I would also share my personal favorite activewear leggings.
They are pricey, no doubt. But, they will last forever!
The quality is insane. I bought my mother a pair years ago (she is also obsessed), and they’re still going strong even though she wears them all the time.
So they’re totally worth the price, in my opinion.
I have the 7/8 leggings and the flares. So good!
Cold Weather Details
When headed out into the cold tundra, throw on this faux fur-trimmed parka and duck boots.
However, if you’re looking for an even warmer parka, check out this one from Lands’ End. Same vibe, just warmer.
As for these winter boots, they are shearling-lined making them an excellent choice to keep your feet nice and toasty.
If you don’t need quite so much warmth and are looking for a more versatile waterproof boot, L.L.Bean also offers some unlined boots.
The unlined version are my preference since I can add some warm alpaca socks (have and love) or just some cotton ones, depending on the temperature.
And of course, top the look with a warm beanie.

Accessories
So now that we’ve created a nice warm base for cold weather, let’s make it chic and a little bougie.
Top the look with my latest favorite sunglasses, these oversized square aviator sunnies from Diff.
When it comes to sunglasses, I love oversized, I love aviators, and I love square shades on my round face.
My mom gave these to me for Christmas. I LOVE them! You can see them on me here.
Then add a designer bag, this Gucci shoulder bag can also be worn as a crossbody.
Or try something similar.
Jewelry
As for jewelry, keep things subtle with some beautiful cubic zirconia studs.
Or try these for a more affordable option.
You’ve seen these bracelets before.
Many of them are from the brand Mevecco on Amazon.
I recently purchased this turquoise bracelet, paperclip bracelet, and cable bracelet.
I freakin’ love them all!
You can check out my Amazon store and follow me on Amazon for more of my finds.
And lastly, a bold domed gold ring. See a similar but less expensive option here.
Jewelry Care
These are inexpensive plated pieces so you might need to “baby” them for longevity.
Avoid the obvious: showers, pools, spraying your wrist with perfume while wearing them.
Store them in air-tight plastic bags, if possible. This will keep the plating from damage and tarnishing.
Perfume
As for the perfume, Maison Margiela’s “By the Fireplace” is a recent find.
As you well know by now, I am usually all about florals.
But, this warm unisex fragrance has stolen my heart.
A great find for fall and winter, it literally makes you think you are roasting chestnuts at a wood-burning fireplace.
I’m kind of obsessed.
If you’re not ready to try something new at its full price tag, perhaps try the Dossier version.
I tried this perfume brand, Dossier, which boasts “designer inspired” fragrances.
I ordered a bunch of their scents. And so far, I love them!
Although I don’t own their “Woody Chestnut,” which is inspired by Maison Margiela’s “By the Fireplace,” I feel confident recommending it based on my experience with their other scents.
Now let me try to explain this scent (bear in mind that I am terrible at this, but this site may help).
It smells like a comforting wood stove or fireplace on a cold night. Only so much better!
I’m not even sure I want to smell like it, but I LOVE smelling it. Like after I put it on I consistently sniff my wrists. So good!
I even splurged and bought some of the candles when they were on sale (I know, that price tag is ridiculous).
It smells similar to Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540 (in my untrained nose’s opinion) but I like it better.
