Are you headed somewhere warm this spring? Here are a couple of spring break outfits I put together for Torrid. These looks will easily take you from the beach to a night out while on your vaycay!
Plus Size Spring Break Outfits – From the Beach to a Night Out
Maxi Dress as a Cover-Up
I love to use a dress, especially a maxi dress, as a swim cover-up. For one, I appreciate the coverage. Second, I love that I can go straight from the beach or pool to a bar or restaurant and feel appropriate and comfortable.
Torrid has so many beautiful plus size maxi dresses, all available in sizes 10 – 30. Plus, most of them are available in 2 lengths, regular, for those 5’5” and over, and short, for those 5’4” and under. And many, like the one featured in this post, have adjustable straps for an even better fit.
Plus Size Tankini
This plus size spring break outfit is perfect for a beach day or lounging by the pool. The adorable lacy tankini top has underwire cups that come in two sizes, “regular” and “full.” See the size chart below to see what size you need.
As I mentioned in a previous post, Torrid now shows many of their items modeled on different sizes. Under the main image, look for “Select Fit Model,” to see swimsuits on sizes: 1 (14 – 16), 2 (18 – 20), and 4 (26). I really hope that Torrid expands these fit models to include more sizes as I think this is a really helpful feature.
The tankini top is very sexy with some skin peeking through the lace above the coordinating high-waisted tankini bottoms. While I think this swimsuit is flattering for everyone, if you aren’t as comfortable with showing a little skin or would prefer a solid suit, take a look at this swimdress. So cute! In fact, you should take a look at the whole swim collection at Torrid. Amazing!

As you can see, you can easily re-purpose the maxi dress to hit the town at night! Add some strappy heels, trendy jewelry, and a cute bag. Then top with a cropped denim jacket and you’re good to go. If denim jackets aren’t your thing, try a shrug, like this one or this one.

I find it helpful that you shared that a person can invest in a maxi dress so that one can go from the beach to a pool or bar while wearing something appropriate and comfortable. With that in mind, I will look for a clothing store within my area this weekend to buy one for my sister. That way, it will serve as my birthday gift to her and make a great addition when she heads on her cruise a few weeks from now.
