A spring business casual outfit for my “plus size on a budget series!”
Plus Size on a Budget – Spring Business Casual
My “Disclaimer”
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.
Outfit Details
So cute for spring!
Who doesn’t love pastels?
I paired a plus size pink blouse with some neutral camel pants.
I added some color with the accessories: a pastel blue tote bag and a set of bangle bracelets.
As for shoes, opt for some on trend loafers in beige, white, gold, or even silver.
The chunky gold hoop earrings are the ones I always recommend and own in every size.
Lipstick & Perfume
The liquid lipstick coordinates with the pink top.
I love doing this when wearing a bold pink or red color.
As for the perfume, it’s my longtime “signature scent.”
I have been in love with this fragrance, Vera Wang, since college.
It may smell “dated” but I always get compliments on it.
And the best part is that now it’s inexpensive.
If you’re into light florals, I highly recommend it.

The best part about the Walmart site is that you can edit your model to look more like you! They have a variety of heights, weights, and builds so you’ll have a better idea of how the clothes will fit. Loving that option!
Love the pink! Wear the perfume you love! I love Kenneth Cole Black, which is kinda random, but I adore it. I’ve tried a few trendy/name-brand scents, but I always come back to this one. Must be something in the chemistry!
Love blog-thanks!
