With spring’s arrival, I decided to create another “look” for my plus size loungewear series. Light layers and capri leggings make the perfect “around the house” clothes for the ever-changing spring weather. But, before I get into details, I wanted to talk about my new favorite “house shoes.”
As soon as the weather started to warm, I got myself some Crocs, which I have fallen in love with all over again. Yes, they are incredibly ugly, but they are SO comfy! Plus, I can wear them to take the dog out, rain or shine. I get the “Classic Clog” since it is unisex and wide width. I love to get a bright color and just embrace the ridiculousness!
But, I also wear my favorite slides. I get the unisex/mens because I need wide width. But, you can also get the women’s version. They’re also great to wear to a pool or beach. And slides are still trending this spring and summer, which is why I tend to wear them out of the house over my bright Crocs.

Clothing Details
A light cotton cardigan tops a nearly-sheer tank with a built-in sports bra. If you’d rather have a tank without a bra, I found a similar one. The capri leggings are four-way stretch and not compression, which means they should be great for lounging. I added some adorable silver slides.
A Few of My Favorite Things
Then I threw in some favorite things for good measure. Like this facial spray. Yes, it seems silly, but this small $7 luxury makes me feel like a million bucks! I spray myself with it when I’m working and just need to feel refreshed and moisturized. It is just a little pick-me-up. The spray comes in 3 varieties and I love them all!
And I know I have already talked about Voluspa candles many times, but “Prosecco Rose” is by far my favorite scent. And the packaging is incredibly beautiful!
And I discovered Lanolips, which has a collection of balms, including tinted lip balms and hand creams made with lanolin. Lanolin is derived from sheep’s wool and mimics the natural oils humans produce. All of their products are cruelty-free. And they make my lips and hands (and elbows) so soft! And they’re great to keep at your desk and in your purse. I highly recommend them!
And lastly I added my blue light blocking glasses. If you haven’t heard of this latest “trend,” these glasses block blue light that comes from screens. They are supposed to help prevent eye-strain, headaches, and other ill-effects of staring at screens all day.
Blue light can also affect your circadian rhythm. If you are using screens (tv, computer, phone, etc) at night, theoretically, the blue light, which signals it’s daytime to your brain, can cause delayed sleep and insomnia. That is my main reason for trying these blue light blocking glasses. I work late at night and have always struggled with my circadian rhythm. I will try anything that might help. So far, I think they do reduce my eye-strain and I have noticed less issues falling asleep. I can’t say it is definitively the glasses, but they can’t hurt.

I love the outfits you put together and I get ideas about how to put together new outfits with items I already have!!! Do you ever shop or recommend J Jill clothing?!? Everything I have ever ordered from them is quality and fairly priced. Just a thought!! Keep up the great job!!
I don’t really shop at JJill, although I have no reason not to. My mother does and she is usually impressed with their quality. They are just never in the front of my mind for some reason. I will have to go check their selections out and see if anything is inspiring. Thanks!
