A Pop of Color
When adding a “pop of color” to an otherwise neutral outfit, sometimes there is a temptation to add multiple pieces with the same color.
For example, with these outfits, you could add both the bag with a red tassel and red tassel earrings to the same look. But, it loses something and becomes “matchy matchy” aka “dated.”
Instead, choose one brightly colored item to add to an outfit of neutrals.
Of course, if you are coordinating with a print, you may be able to add more than one brightly colored item, but we can get into that on another day.

Yes, try Torrid’s Maxi Dresses. Some of them come in “short.” Like this one. Another idea is eShakti, you can customize/custom size any of the dresses.
I love this look so much! Perfect for work here in the humid South. I also appreciate how you always give alternative sources for a given item; sometimes the “real” one is sold out or not available in my size, so it’s very helpful to have those alternatives! You are a treasure!
Now I just need to find some espadrilles that are actually comfy AND don’t show my weird toes…
