My “Disclaimer”
I want to prevent some anticipated feedback. So please keep these things in mind:
- “Budget” is relative. Some people easily spend $300 on sunglasses, while other people allocate $300 for their annual clothing budget.
- You may be able to find these items elsewhere for less. These are just some “budget-friendly” finds I have come across. And I typically don’t link to clearance items because they sell out and then people are disappointed. Also, I have no way of linking to thrift stores, but obviously, if you want to check out your local thrift stores, I think that is a great idea!
- Recycle & reuse. As with all of my posts, I hope that you can use the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. Additionally, I assume that you can reuse all of the pieces below in other combinations with things in your closet to create a variety of looks. Meaning, I think it is unfair to judge the expense of one outfit as though that is the only way to wear the pieces.

A plus size summer casual outfit idea by request.
Someone mentioned wanting an “edgy” summer look on a budget,
Of course, I went back to try to find the comment and can’t (#ADHD).
I’m not sure this is edgy, but I like it a lot.

Outfit Details
For this look I went with some cropped cargo pants with ties at the ankles.
These olive green pants have a 27″ inseam.
Top these pants with a basic blank tank.
A black tee will also work.
Adding some “edginess” with these studded black sandals.
And keeping things trendy with a sling bag.
This bag can be worn across the chest or on the waist and has an adjustable strap that accommodates up to 61″.
Top the look with my favorite sunnies.
These look a lot like designer shades, but a fraction of the price.
I have 2 pairs and love them!
Jewelry & Lip
I went with silver jewelry coordinating with the studs on the sandals.
I like this layered on trend necklace with chains from 16″ – 28″.
Top with some sculptural geometric earrings.
And adorn the wrists with these stacked stretch bracelets.
And since the 90s are back, I opted for a bold cranberry lip.
