Two plus size summer to fall cardigan outfit ideas.  While I show both looks with mom jeans, you could wear some distressed Bermuda denim shorts or even a cute denim skirt on hotter days.

The first outfit idea features a plus size cardigan that is a lightweight cotton blend, making it a great option for transitioning into cooler days.  The second features a sweater blazer that is a linen blend, also making it a great choice for summer into fall.

Both looks are super easy with a white t-shirt and Birkenstock sandals.  Both of which you likely already have in your closet.

The Jewelry

But these ensembles really get interesting when you layer on some gemstone jewelry.  I chose to focus on labradorite, moonstone, and turquoise.  Of course, any similar-toned faux or real stones will work.  The necklace is actually made with shell, abalone, and a “faux” geode.

As usual, I used color theory to make these pairings.  The coral-y stripe in the cardi has a complementary relationship with the aqua tones of the jewelry.  And the periwinkle sweater blazer has an analogous relationship with the stones.  Color harmony!
