So many reasons to love this plus size summer white shorts outfit.  For one, the amethyst purple color of this plus size hammered satin ruffle top is just stunning!  Two, you’ll stay cool all summer long in white cotton-blend bermuda shorts, with enough stretch to keep you comfortable.  And third, you can easily go from day to night with this ensemble.  The cork and gold wedge sandals really polish this look so you could easily wear it out to dinner or for a night cruise.

As I mentioned in my Spring Sephora Picks post, I am obsessed with Stila’s Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadows (Ulta / Sephora).  Like, obsessed!  And they come in this gorgeous “Sea Siren” color, which is a bright lavender base with duo-chrome bright blue pearl topper.  I’m not usually one to match eyeshadow to my clothes, but with this gorgeous color, I love that idea.  And the amazing-ness of these eyeshadows is that they stay on for a very long time, don’t crease (if you let them dry before moving your eyes), and there is no fall out.  None!  How does Stila do that?  Suddenly glittery eyes are easy and don’t require a special glitter glue and an extensive clean-up.  Hallelujah!

I also included another product I’ve been sleeping on.  The Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Lip Gloss.  Hello!  I know that people have been talking about these glosses for years.  But, I tried the ABH Liquid Lipstick, which I found to be too drying.  I wasn’t impressed, so I wrote off the glosses thinking they were just over-hyped.  Well, I got a deluxe sample of the ABH Lip Gloss in “Butterscotch,” a neutral peachy beige, and was very impressed!  Even though the color wouldn’t be my first choice as it is a little pale, the gloss is highly pigmented, long-lasting (for a gloss), not sticky, and well, just the perfect consistency!  For this outfit I love the color “Parfait,” which is a metallic coral with rose gold.  Another item for my wishlist!

Some tips for wearing white shorts, pants, or jeans:  carry a tide stick, wear nude undies (not white), choose the proper fit- not so tight that every “flaw” shows but not so loose that the garment looks too big, and pair with hip length or longer tops.  Go here and here for more plus size summer white shorts outfit ideas.
