Plus Size Valentine’s Date Night Outfit Ideas

Look 1 – Sexy Suit

To sex-up a suit, choose a cut that flatters your curves like this peplum jacket. Add a sexy underpinning like this strappy mesh bodysuit. Finish with a sexy sandal and slinky jewelry. Goes well with a smoky eye and nude lip.  I love this look for a fancy restaurant, a martini bar, or the theatre.

Plus, the blazer and trousers can be worn in a multitude of ways, including to the office.  Personally, I love this blazer with jeans, which I showed in one of my Thanksgiving Posts.  And the trousers can be worn practically anytime.  In case you’ve missed the many times I’ve talked about my favorite trousers, here’s the deal:

They’re the perfect weight for year-round wear.  Plus, they are wrinkle resistant.  I just hang them immediately out of the warm dryer (I only put them on “fluff” briefly to make them a little softer; I would never put them in a hot dryer).  No need to iron!  They have a flattering cut with a boot leg.  And I highly recommend them.  And they are available in sizes 12 – 30 with 5 lengths to choose from.  I am 5’4″ and usually get the “short, which is a 30.5″ inseam, to wear with flats.  When I used to wear heels, I would go with the regular length, which is a 32.5” inseam.

Look 2 – Sexy Dress

Add more sex appeal to a sophisticated dress by adding a strappy sandal and glittery statement accessories. Complete the look with a sleek snake-embossed clutch.  And voilà!  You just brought sexy back like Justin Timberlake did circa 2006.  Go ‘head, be gone with it.

Much like the first look, this dress can also be worn to work.  Pair with a practical wedge midi heel and just add a tote.  I also wanted to mention that if you really want to dial up the heat, check out this bodycon dress with cut-outs in the same color.  Swoon!
