My go-to cocktail dress is starting to show its age and I have a wedding to attend this summer.
So I was thrilled when IGIGI offered to send me a dress! I chose this plus size lace dress in navy. Aside from being beautiful, it has sleeves, and you know how I feel about that!
Also, I think it’s very versatile and can easily be worn year-round to day or evening weddings or parties. And that’s what makes a dress my “go-to.”
I’m really impressed with the quality of this dress! IGIGI is now under new management and I was curious if their dresses would still be extremely well made. They are!
And they have a great range of sizes: 14/16 – 34/36. The dresses have universally flattering cuts and nice details, like the lace in my dress stretches without looking cheap, which can easily happen with a stretch lace. And this also means my large upper arms will be comfortable! Yassss!

That jeweled belt will be mine! Beautiful dress. You will rock that.
Thanks, Michelle!
this dress is beautiful
I would love to see you do a post on wedding guest outfits that aren’t dresses. I am not a dress person but still need some ideas! HELP!
Hi Melissa,
How about a jumpsuit?
I need something to hide my prob area (belly)
I see. That’s a tall order in limited plus sizes. 🙁 So you are probably going to want a jacket/suit with pants. They can look “old” if you aren’t careful, but there are certainly some elegant suits out there. I would avoid palazzo pants or chiffon where possible. Maybe find a silk dupioni jacket and pant. Or a tuxedo pant and jacket.
tHX!!
