Quiet Luxury

“Quiet luxury” is trending.  Most style publications and media outlets are talking about it. 

And while I think this “trend” isn’t really a trend, it is worth talking about.

Quiet luxury is understated elegance, timelessness, and high quality without logos or pieces that scream “designer.”

But, aren’t we [or at least, shouldn’t we be] doing this nearly daily anyway?

I mean I am all about the bougie bags and love a good monogram designer print or shiny logo, but I am also all about the classics…

So much like the “coastal grandmother” trend, I find myself asking: is this actually a “trend?”

But really, who cares?  I love beautiful timeless clothes and great style.  Don’t you?

Outfit Details

Go to work looking quietly luxurious in this winter ensemble.

Start with a lovely animal-inspired turtleneck blouse.

Add some taupe ankle pants with a skinny black belt.

Top the look with a gorgeous camel wool coat as needed.

Accessories

Add taupe, nude, or tan D’orsay pointed toe flats.  Black will also work.

And a logo-less black satchel bag.  Love it!

Add some black cat eye sunglasses.  Do note that these loudly say “Prada” on the arms.  [gasp!]

As for the jewelry, go with some basic gold pieces including these oval hoop earrings.

And add a coin charm bracelet [love!].

Perfume

Now make sure you smell as bougie as you look!

I included Chanel’s Gabrielle, which is such a “rich” floral fragrance.

If it’s over your budget, I highly recommend you try the Dossier version.

I own their “Floral Ylang Ylang,” which is inspired by Chanel’s Gabrielle.

I quickly used the entire bottle, which considering my vast perfume collection, is really saying something.

I then purchased the original Gabrielle and I have concluded there is no difference including the longevity.

Oh la la!  An amazing luxury scent at a fraction of the price!
