In case you haven’t heard, Nordstrom has several “in-house” brands that offer quality and style at a variety of price points.
Specifically, their Halogen brand offers modern staples including workwear basics.
Today’s looks feature many Nordstrom made brands.
The gorgeous bright sweaters and crop pants are both from Halogen.
And the soft wool and cashmere scarves are from Nordstrom’s eponymous brand.
The Nordstrom brand makes high-quality luxury items at great prices.
Outfit Details
These plus size outfit ideas are great for business casual dress codes.
And while simple, they are anything but boring!
Some basic black ankle pants are topped with statement-making bright sweaters in a hot pink or vivid royal blue.
And taken to the next level with beautiful leopard cashmere scarves.
Accessories
As for accessories, some oversized round sunglasses, basic gold earrings, and a bold gold bracelet round out the look.
I added a slouchy black tote with some gold hardware and some black loafers with a gold horse bit accent.

And lastly, complete the look with a bold matte magenta lip. This Gucci “Vantine Fuchsia” does the trick.
But, my pick would likely be this lipstick in “Shameless” because I like a liquid lip for bold colors.

Oh my, Laurie. I am sorry to hear of your struggle. I hope your surgery goes well and you are able to heal quickly.
If I have any unsolicited advice to give, it would be to give yourself as much time as you need to recover and then some! It’s likely going to take much longer to heal physically and mentally than you anticipate, so try to give yourself grace and compassion. This was something I have really struggled with, so I just thought I would share.
