Keep a basic black sheath dress, like this plus size ponte knit dress, interesting by changing up your accessories!
In this first look, keep it simple with tan accessories and leopard print heels.
I love love love the combination of black and tan or camel together!

Next, add some color, like this bright scarf, and a bright heel that matches one of the colors in the scarf’s print.
Choose a different color from the print, like turquoise for the other accessories, like earrings or a bracelet. This is a lot of color, but I personally don’t shy away from that.
For a more conservative approach, swap the earrings for a gold stud and the bright heels for a neutral heel.

Shop Bright Printed Scarves
In this last look I’ve added a bright trench that coordinates with this bright Kate Spade scarf.
I kept the belt, shoes, and bag neutral since there was already a lot of color. If you don’t have [or want to invest in] a bright jacket, you can substitute a bright cardigan or blazer.
I like the length of the jacket here, but a shorter piece can work too.

Love these! I’m going to pull out my black sheath dress and give it a whirl!
Awesome!
I love this dress and these looks. I now have two of these dresses in my wardrobe. Question having issues with finding obi belt. Any suggestions on where I might find.
