A plus size jeans outfit for summer inspired by German straight size blogger Tanja Jager.

I’m a big fan!

Straight Size to Plus Size – Jeans Outfit

As I’ve said, these “Straight Size to Plus Size” posts are some of my most popular, but I also get complaints that the “models” in the images aren’t “plus sized.”

So I just wanted to give a little background of why I do these types of posts:

We are all inundated every day by images of thin celebrities, models, and bloggers sporting the “latest looks,” i.e. clothing that doesn’t come in our size.

So I try to take these “unattainable” images and prove that, in fact, with some effort, plus size women can put these hot looks together.  

They are attainable!

And I try to take the effort, i.e. searching everywhere for the pieces, out of the equation.  

So as always, my main goal is to inspire and empower.

Ok, now back to the outfit idea!

Outfit Details

This outfit is so stylish and so easy!

A white shirt tied in the front tops some cropped straight leg jeans.

I went with these mom jeans with a 27.5″ inseam.

Tanja is carrying the iconic Chloe Marcie bag.  I believe it is the small size.

It also comes in a medium size.

I then added some oversized round sunglasses, brown gemstone drop earrings, and some platform espadrille sandals.

Tanja is wearing more jewelry than I included, so stack some extra bracelets on the wrist and add a chunky chain necklace.

Belt

As for the belt, Tanja is wearing what I suspect is a 30mm VLogo Signature belt from Valentino.

However, the 30mm belt only goes to a size 100 (100cm or 40″).

If you want a larger belt, try the one I included, which is the 40mm Valentino VLogo belt.

I believe the 40mm belt is unisex and therefore goes to a size 120 (120 cm or 47″).

It should fit a size 20/22.  But, I recommend measuring to be sure.
